Since 1989, Espaço Talassa has been the first whale watching company in the Azores - founded by a French sailor and a former Azorean whaling family, rooted in the very history of these waters. We locate cetaceans using the same traditional vigia lookout towers that once guided the whale hunters of Lajes do Pico, combined with onboard hydrophones. Your marine biologists share genuine knowledge of the species, their behavior, and the ocean they inhabit. Small groups, unhurried time at sea, and a deep respect for the animals and the place.
